On Thursday night, 80 mourners gathered on the Stonewall Inn, a New York Metropolis bar identified for its pivotal position within the homosexual rights motion, to honor O’Shae Sibley.

Mr. Sibley, a 28-year-old dancer who was getting ready to audition for the musical “The Lion King,” was stabbed to dying at a Brooklyn fuel station on Saturday after a bunch of males instructed Mr. Sibley and his buddies to cease dancing and commenced to hurl homosexual slurs at them.

Two New York Instances reporters, Maria Cramer and Wesley Parnell, wrote about Mr. Sibley’s exuberant life and tragic murder. One of many 80 mourners who got here to The Stonewall Inn to honor Mr. Sibley instructed them, “He was only a lovely spirit, a beautiful particular person, simply exercising his freedom to be alive.”
