
Frank Reich is filling out his Carolina Panthers teaching workers with some acquainted names.
Josh McCown and Dom Capers are becoming a member of the Panthers as assistant coaches, the Panthers introduced on Friday. McCown will work as Carolina’s quarterbacks coach whereas Capers joins Reich’s workers as a senior defensive assistant. Each have earlier ties to the franchise.
McCown, 43, will get his first NFL teaching job after 16 seasons as a participant within the league. He performed quarterback for 9 totally different groups from 2002-19, splitting his time as a starter and a backup. He was a backup for the Panthers from 2008-09. A 3rd-round choice by the Arizona Cardinals, he was the longest-tenured participant in his his draft class.
McCown was a surprise finalist for the Houston Texans opening final season regardless of having no teaching expertise of any variety past the highschool stage. The Texans instead hired Love Smith, whom they fired after one season in favor of latest head coach DeMeco Ryans.
