Because the newly-installed co-CEO of DC Studios, James Gunn has a large quantity of duties on his plate. We just lately discovered of his and Peter Safran’s plans to reshape the DC Universe in a big way, formally placing the final decade or so of uncertainty behind us and shifting on with a (largely) contemporary begin and new inventive course. So with all that work to do, naturally Gunn has no time to spend on Twitter any extra … proper? Haha, good one. He is nonetheless on the market, swatting down rumors and fascinating with followers who tweet some fairly ridiculous issues at him.
That is precisely what occurred just lately, when the unlucky hashtag #sellthesnyderversetonetflix — fueled by baseless hypothesis amongst followers that Netflix would inexplicably swoop in and do what HBO Max did final time – made its approach into his Twitter mentions. Gunn wasted no time declaring the absurdity of this concept on Twitter:
“I’ve to say, this has acquired to be the wackiest hashtag ever since 1) Netflix hasn’t expressed any such curiosity (though we have mentioned different stuff) & 2) Zack hasn’t expressed any curiosity & appears to be completely happy doing what he is doing (and, sure, we too have talked).”
There you will have it, of us! Gunn, a longtime buddy of Snyder’s going again to their collaboration on his “Daybreak of the Useless” remake, went on to clarify the precise nature of these talks he is had with Snyder. Gunn added, “He contacted me to precise his assist about my selections. He is an incredible man. Once more, he appears actually proud of the huge world constructing he is doing now.” (Certainly, Snyder has plenty of Netflix projects on his plate already.)
